Hi, my name is Denacy Walker and I teach nursing at the medical center campus. My proposal for this spring break was to learn to develop powerpoint presentations utilizing animations and graphics. So far, the day has been very exciting. I hope to complete the session with the ability to deliver all my lectures by powerpoint. Wish me luck.

Helloeveryone
My name is Mervyn Solomon. I am a Faculty Librarian at Homestead Campus.
My project is to develop two library research instructional modulees. One would be how to search subscription databases, find information and retrieve it. This will include displaying search results with direct links APA or MLA style. The other module deals with Google and other Internet sources.

This is Mervyn Solomon on my second day. I thought that the first day's breakout session with Carmen was especially helpful in two importa=nt ways. First, it served to reduced the level of anxiety that some of us understandably shared. Carmen's ability to listen and respond appropriately was a great help. Second, the program includes faculty from a variety of disciplines. This is a rare opportunity to get to know where (and why) similariteis and differences exist in terms of an individual's professional orientation and approach. The experience is stimulating and will be of practical value to me on the job - moreso because of the chance to acquire new skills and knowledge in the use ofeducational technology.

It is a good way to keep in touch with the group, to express our frustrations and our triumphs, and at the same time to get encouragement from others.

Hola! My name is Carmen Bisono from Medical Campus, Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program (Ultrasound). My proposal is to learn how to use Jeopardy for registry exam purposes or class review after each unit. So far, it has been exciting, and I hope I will be bringing my students another tool to enhance their learning. Wish me luck.

I always learn some new things in this training. Time is still an issue for me.

I learn some new thing without the pressure of time. However, I still need to get the project done by the deadline. Another issue is the blog, it seems to be a bit complicated to get the comment published.
