I am a new member of the CIS faculty at Wolfson. In the past few months, I have immersed myself in available instruction technologies such as the faculty web page and WebCT. Students have responded positively to these tools, and I would like to further encourage their learning and interaction via tools such as Studymate and Camtasia.

I am Susan Myers, Nutrition faculty from the Wolfson campus. I am interested in having students continue to apply nutrition after they finish my Essentials of Nutrition class. I want them to be able to recognize and evaluate nutrition information in the media such as TV commercials. There are some really good ads on cholesterol lowering drugs that I am going to digitize and put on my webct site -then we can discuss them in class.

I'm Bob Pope from the Kendall Campus department of Biology/Health and Wellness. I usually teach Anatomy and Physiology and/or General Education Biology. Miriam DelCampo and I are going to develop a demonstration video clip of the movement of molecules across cell membranes using dual WebCams. We hope to use this technology to develop a series of clips to use in either BSC 1005 or BSC 2085/86.

Hello everyone. I hope that you are enjoying your Design Your Own Springbreak workshops and that your projects are starting to come together. I say starting because I know that task can be extremely challenging. Continue on. You'll find that what you learn during this week can be immediately used with your students and can in many cases be easily shared with your colleagues. But for now. Take a deep breath. Relax and ENJOY your week.
